This will be frowned upon by major search engines and doing this will probably get you banned which is worse than no ranking at all. So you should stay well clear of this.

Focus on the keyword you want to be ranked for. For example if I wanted my site ranking well for the term SEO Tips then I would have to build most of my links in the anchor text SEO Tips to make search engines rank it for this keyword. So I suggest you research widely searched keywords with little competition and get writing.
