SEO is essential for your website, because without it, you wouldn’t have any visits to your website from people from search engines.

The web of today has no limit. People are making millions online, but to have any chance of making any sort of money / living from the web, you need traffic. Many peoples main source of traffic is from search engines.  If your site hasn’t been optimized for search engines, then you’ve got little chance of being found rite at the top.

Unless you’ve got a really big source of free traffic (a link from another highly visited site) then you really have no chance of making money with no SEO. I think you know this by now.

Here are some techniques you could use to give your site a chance of being found.

• Make sure your title tags are correct so for example if your selling golf balls then it could be <title>golf balls | store name </title> instead of <title>product 2 </title>. People who look for golf balls don’t search for “product 2″.
• Give your product or an accurate description and don’t spam the keywords. Just describe your page.
• Use your main keyword in the headings and in alt text. This will give you greater relevancy for search engines. Don’t make it look spammy though.
• Request links from other relevant websites, use your main keywords in the anchor text. For example instead of http://www.web-design-wrexham.com/seo_wrexham.htm as the link it should be SEO Wrexham. This will also give you greater relevancy

You could also submit your site to as many directories you can. The more links you have back to your website, the more often it will get crawled and the more chance you have of being found.
